Newborn gift guide: ideas for every budget
From small tokens to bigger gifts you can give together — practical gift ideas for a newborn and their parents.

A new baby is a joy not only for the parents but for the whole family and their friends, and many people want to bring a gift on their first visit. But how do you choose something that will really be used and won't duplicate everyone else's presents? We've gathered practical ideas — from small tokens to bigger gifts you can give together.
Before you choose
- Ask the parents what they already have and what they still need. Many families make a list in advance.
- When giving clothes, go a size up — 3–6 or 6–9 months. Newborn sizes are usually given in abundance, and babies grow fast. Think about the season too: a warm pramsuit is useful in winter, not in July.
- Choose soft, natural fabrics and toys labelled as suitable from birth.
- Exchanges are possible: unused items in their original packaging can be exchanged or returned within 14 days in one of our Yerevan stores — for example, if the size isn't right.
Small gifts
Modest but heartfelt gifts for a first visit:
- A comforter — a soft toy with a little blanket, such as our bear comforter, which the manufacturer says is suitable from birth.
- A small soft toy or rattle.
- A set of socks or a hat and mitts.
- A baby scan photo frame — a keepsake for the parents themselves.
Practical gifts
These are things parents will use every day:
- Muslins: thin cotton squares for wiping up after feeds, protecting clothes and countless other jobs. Our large muslins measure 90 × 90 cm and come in packs of 3.
- A clothing set: for example, a 5-piece set with two sleepsuits, a bodysuit, a bib and a hat.
- A hat and booties: for example, a cotton knitted set.
- A knitted blanket for walks and cuddles.
Keepsake gifts
Some gifts stay with a child for years:
- A soft toy that may become your baby's first friend, such as Archie the elephant from the Welcome to the World collection.
- A rocking horse — a gift to grow into, for later on. Check the age it is designed for.
- A cot mobile for the nursery, if the parents don't have one yet.
Bigger gifts to give together
If you're giving with friends or the whole family, you can choose something bigger:
- A playmat with hanging toys for play and tummy time, such as the bunny playmat. Babies should play on it with an adult watching.
- A swing or bouncer to give the parents a few minutes hands-free. Check the age and weight limits.
- Furniture or a pushchair — only if you've agreed it with the parents first, as these are very personal choices.
